Chloe was commissioned by the Law Institute of Victoria to design Solicitors and the LIV, a 250-page hardcover book documenting the history and development of Victoria’s legal profession from 1835 to 2019.
Authored by a prominent University of Melbourne legal historian and supported by leading Australian law firms, the publication required a sophisticated editorial approach capable of presenting more than 180 years of historical material within a cohesive and engaging visual narrative. Chloe developed the design across the complete publication, balancing extensive written content, archival material and imagery through considered typography, layouts and visual hierarchy while overseeing its transition into a premium hardcover format.
Published in 2019, the finished book was made available through retail and online channels and is held in library collections across Australia, creating an enduring record of the history of Victoria’s legal profession.
